The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Our employees work and travel in some of the most beautiful areas of the West Coast, including Tofino, Ucluelet, Port Alberni, Zeballos, Gold River, and Hot Springs Cove; as well as historical First Nations communities that only a select few are lucky enough to have a chance to visit in a lifetime.

Office Assistant

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking a reliable, highly motivated Office Assistant to fill a permanent, full-time position in our Campbell River office. The Usma Office Assistant is responsible for performing general reception and clerical tasks and errands in the NTC Usma Family & Child Services (F&CS) office.

Team Assistant (Usma) - Campbell River

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services (Usma) is seeking a
reliable, highly motivated Team Assistant to fill a permanent, full-time position. This position
performs a variety of administrative duties utilizing MIS and ICM – two complex government
systems. This position provides program support to the child protection team and other Usma staff
as needed. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child Services works on the traditional territories of
the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, as well as the Port Alberni, Campbell River and Gold River urban
areas. This position will be based out of the Usma office in Campbell River BC.

C6 Social Worker (Child Protection) - Campbell River

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking three (3)
experienced, C6 delegated Social Workers to fill permanent, full-time positions. Based out of
Campbell River, BC, these positions will have full C6 caseload responsibilities. Travel (by vehicle,
boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) may be required for this position. Usma Nuu-chahnulth
Family and Child Services works on the traditional territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth
Nations, as well as the Port Alberni, Campbell River and Gold River urban areas, supporting and
collaborating with community to develop appropriate responses to child safety concerns and build
upon community support services.

Team Leader (Child Protection)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking an experienced,
full-time, highly effective Team Leader who focuses on collaborative practice for the day-to-day
functioning of the Child Protection Team and its supports
. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child
Services works on the traditional territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, as well as the Port
Alberni, Campbell River and Gold River urban areas. Usma Family and Child Services continues to
strengthen practice to be professional, ethical, culturally sensitive, and responsive social work for
Nuu-chah-nulth families and children. This position will be based out of the Usma office in Campbell

Community Health - Home Care Nurse

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, full time-time Registered Nurse in the dual-role of Community Health/Home Care Nurse. This unique position will provide nursing services to Indigenous individuals and families living in a variety of community-based settings in all NTC Regions. This position is based out of Port Alberni, however, there would be travel to other Regions. Travel is by vehicles on gravel roads to remote communities. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice.

Clinical Nurse Leader- Southern Region

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Clinical Nurse Leader to provide professional nursing guidance and support to Nurses. Diabetes Leader (Term)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Nursing Services program is seeking a Full time, term Registered Nurse OR Registered Dietician to serve as the Diabetes Leader. Based out of Port Alberni, this full-time 2-year term position will provide culturally safe diabetes education, consultation and liaison to clients, caregivers, family members and other service providers for Nuu-chah-nulth members. The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Nursing Department is seeking a highly skilled nurse to work as Nurse Navigator. This position will provide advanced level of expertise in leading and guiding clients through the hospital care system and ensuring timely services and safe transition through all procedural stages.
